Studied Safety and Hazard Control at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. Ten years of operational and command service with the Dresden Professional Fire Brigade. International research experience at the BRE Centre for Fire Safety Engineering (University of Edinburgh) and at SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden.
